My Exercise Progress ♡

I’m the world’s least athletic person.

I always remember P.E. class in school being such a struggle. I was always so bad compared to everyone else even though I’m not overweight or anything.

Running was always the hardest for me. I always felt so awful when running like I just couldn’t breathe and could throw up any second.

To pass the running exam, girls had to run 1 mile/1.6km  in 10 minutes.

Now that’s not a very high standard. But I’d be jumping for joy if I passed that. And I did maybe.. once!


So ever since graduating from high school, I never took up exercising again. I just thought it wasn’t for me.


Well, I recently took it up again (for the silliest reason ever which was to lose baby fat on my face).

I started running 3-4 times a week.


It was so hard at first. I only ran 10 minutes at a time.

But I’ve been getting better and better and now I’m running 15 minutes each time.

I never thought it was possible for me to run 15 minutes!

I’m still incredibly slow, but I’m making progress so I’m super duper happy.


So what’s changed?

Growing up, I was chronically dehydrated. I don’t know why, but I just didn’t seem to compute I needed to drink so much water.

In my teens, I started to develop massive headaches and even went to the doctors to check it out. But even they didn’t recommend to drink more water!

I still get these headaches now. If I don’t drink water within 1-2 hours of waking up, I’ll start to have really bad headaches that ruin the rest of the day.

I don’t remember how it came to be, but I just realized one day that I needed to drink so much more water.

I’ve noticed so many changes in my body after that.

My skin was so much smoother and radiant and I just felt so good!

I can’t believe I was depriving my body something so important for such a long time!

And since I started exercising, it’s become so much easier than I remember!

Now, every day I’m careful to drink at least the minimum amount required, 2.2L for a woman! :raburabu:


I wasn’t aiming to lose weight as I feel I’m pretty skinny already. But I’ve been losing weight all over my body – my legs, arms, butt (shut up!), belly, face.. EVERYWHERE!

I’ve been so happy to see the progress. :heart:

I just wish I had before and after pictures!

    I am happy to hear the great progress you have! I always try to drink more water, but it’s so difficult…

      I know it is! And it’s so bothersome.. I try not think about how I’m having to go to the toilet at least once an hour, haha.

    Your an inspiration!
    I tried to exercise at least 10min a day once. I gave up.

    I can only run for 10 minutes too… so I am really ashamed to go running and so I never run anymore :aseru:
    My all time favourite excercise was walking and dancing.. I could always do that for more hours.. and I losed a lot, but I really mean A LOT of weight :wink: but now I have become too lazy and unmotivated so I gained everything back :heartbreak: And I once went to the dovtor to help me to lose weight and they told me how you can simply colculate how much wather you need to drink.. you can use this formula: weight x 300 = water in ml.. than you can change it to dl/l :strawberry: That hairstyle is really cute^^ Do you know how to make bow? I used to do it.. it’s super cute too :raburabu:

      You shouldn’t be ashamed! While I am running 15 minutes, it’s a very slow pace. Eventually you will get better!
      But if you lost weight doing walking and dancing, that’s awesome! How did you do it? I don’t feel walking and dancing get me pumped enough.

      Oh, that’s a great formula to see how much water to drink! Because 2.2L is too much one size fits all!

      I must try how to do a bow!!!

    I used to be very active when I was younger as I played sports in school, but nowadays the only exercise I get is walking my dog (which isn’t a lot of exercise). I used to love running since it gave me a runner’s high. That feeling was very addictive! Although now it only pains my body to run that much. lol I should really try getting back into being fit and active, but it’s just so much work! Good job on working hard though~ 15 minutes sounds extremely tough. Also, that’s a very cute photo and the hairstyle totally suits you! :heart: A hair tutorial maybe?!

    Also, I’ve finally took the plunge and made a site. I’m still a bit awkward with it all, but I hope you’ll read it. Thanks for all the encouragement. :)

      Sports? Wow! At least you can do that, haha.

      While I am running 15 minutes, trust me, it’s at a super slow pace. I’m building it up to be more awesome though :D

      And thanks! I’m glad you like the hair. I can do a tutorial, but it’s sooooo super easy, haha.

      Anddd, as if I haven’t expressed it enough, I’m so happy you made the site! I want to see you post more though!

    So glad to hear you’re better, and good on you for drinking lots of water! I was chronically dehydrated as well, and it completely messed me up for months. I got hives and serious face swelling after every meal (and workout), arg. Not 1 of the many doctors I went to told me to drink lots of water! I’m glad I found out that info online, though – I’m all good now! C: Glad to hear that you’re doing great as well!

      Wow! I can’t believe we were in a similar boat. While water is a more obvious thing to figure out if you’re not having enough of it.. I wonder if there’s any other vital nutrients we’re not thinking about! I’m so glad you’re fine now :D
