Tutorial on Coordemania

Recently, I started playing a new game by Ameba and Pottap called Coordemania (コーデマニア)  for ipod touch, ipad, and iphone. Although itunes says it’s in English, it’s only in Japanese. I’ll be posting the basics about how to play it.

The goal of the game is basically dress up! You make new sets of outfits (or coordinates)  and post them up. The more comments you get from coordinators, the more money you get.

When you start off, you’re limited to the clothes you can buy. In addition to earning money from comments, you can earn money as you level up. The outfits are generated by the computer and you have to match the best piece of clothing to finish the coordinate.

See below for a tutorial on the game!

Explaination of the Home Screen

a. How many hearts you have; you need the energy to level up

b. Click on this to see the comments you got. Click on other users’ names to return the comment!

c. Mail Box Coordinates – This is where you do your leveling. You also earn coins this way.

d. Closet – Change your clothes

e. Shopping – When you start, there’s only a couple of stores. You need to level up your stage to get into other stores. Right now, I’m not sure how you move to the next stage.

f. Look at posted coordinates – This is a handy way of clicking on other people’s coordinates and commenting on them. Every return comment you get earns you 100 coins.

g. Upload your coordinate – People will see your coordinate and if they like it, they may comment on it.

How To Earn Coins

  1. The mail box coordinates
  2. Post your coordinates for other people to comment on

This is only in regards to earning coins, Diamonds are bought with Japanese yen.

Option 1: The mail box coordinates

This is limited to how many hearts you have. It automatically regenerates; I believe it takes 8 hours(?) to fully regenerate, it’s probably different as you get more and more hearts.

Step 1: Click on the mail box on the home screen.

Step 2: You will be given 3 options. I think the difference between the 3  is the kind of fashion.

Step 3: You will be shown a coordinate to complete. Choose the option you think suits best! If you’ve done well, you’ll get a “Nice Coorde!” message. Good job!

Option 2: Post your coordinates for other people to comment on

At the beginning, this is limited because you don’t have a lot of clothes to work with so people are less likely to comment on your’s. However! This can be circumvented if you comment on others’ coordinates. People are likely to comment on your’s too.

Step 1: Click on f on the home screen.

Step 2: You’ll see other people’s coordinates. Click on any.

Step 3: You will be brought to this person’s home screen.

Step 4: Leave them a comment by clicking on the hand. Type your message.

After they see your comment, they will also leave you a comment! This will earn you 100 coins.

And those are the basics. Honestly, I don’t know Japanese very well. :aseru: So if you know anything more, please let me know in the comments. I’d be happy to amend my guide.

If you know how to increase your stage, please let me know!

You could complete the stage and increase it by finishing the quests and dressing up the right theme for the special call.. First option is to buy clothes then the second one is Im not sure if it takes you to your wardrobe but the last option is the list of your friends where you could borrow 2 clothes/accesories/shoes etc then you click the navy blue bar below the names/types of things if you get what I mean, when you are done changing..

Last thing is there anyway we could reset our characters here? I’d love to choose the “sweet theme” but deleting the app isnt doing any resetting at all. Cheers!

OH! That makes so much more sense… Thank you so much. I’ll be making some changes to my guide soon.

I wish I could help with your question, but the resources are so limited (even in Japanese seems like?). I’m guessing Coordemania works like a lot of other social games with the data stored online which is tied to a number on your device. So it’s not really possible to do it… but AGAIN, I’m not sure. I’m sorry I couldn’t help.

Does it really make a difference having different themes?
